Rainbow Moonstone Diamond Stud
Invisible Symbols in Life
Diamond & Love
It appears that I have consistently found myself involved in culturally rich work throughout my early career. At one point, I had the opportunity to work at an antique Majolica tile museum, gaining access to millions of pieces of these historical tiles. Unable to resist, I began analysing their formats and designs. Before long, I found myself captivated by the exquisite designs, prompting me to delve into their origins. The diamond shape, a pattern I encountered, is among the oldest in human history. It manifests in Italian black and white flooring, adorns plaids in the form of the argyle pattern, and even symbolises wealth and opulence in poker cards.
When I initially conceptualized the bracelet, I contemplated the selection of the central stone and the significance it would bestow blessings upon those who wear it. A stroll past my bookshelf led me to encounter the book “Paintings in the Louvre,” a cherished acquisition from years gone by. Adorning the back cover was François Gérard’s 1798 masterpiece, “Cupid and Psyche.” The answer became clear – Love. Consequently, I chose the moonstone, also recognized as the lover stone, to grace the diamond pedestal, completing the bracelet with a profound symbol of affection.
“Within the delicate balance of life, money and love occupy distinct realms – one cannot replace the other, for they are currencies of the heart and soul, each invaluable in its own unique way.”
