Fleeting Moments “On n’aime que ce que l’on ne possède pas entier.” The first time I visited Paris, I was alone with a broken heart. First day after settling down everything, I walked by the left bank of the Seine and sat by the famous lover bridge, Pont des Arts. The railings on both sides were adorned with locks, testimony to countless lovers. It was summer time, despite the approaching dinner hour but the sun still shining on the Seine, I looked at the river glitter and the locks, and thought about the famous quote “No man ever steps in the same river twice”, indeed, we are always experiencing each very first time in life. And love, much like the Seine, is constantly changing. What we can do is enjoy the fleeting moments and imprint the glitter in our minds.
