| Designer's Note: Whispers of Spring |
The origin of festoon may trace back to ancient times when people placed floral wreaths around altars or at doorways for festive settings. Over time, this practice evolved into floral arrangements in architectural decorations. Ancient Greeks and Romans extensively employed such patterns, making them the primary adornments for altars, eaves, and panels. These designs were later applied in Neoclassical architecture, especially on ceramics, silverware, and jewelry.
